Holy cow It has been forever since i have posted i am a slacker! We have been so busy Baylee is dancing and decided to do a Solo this year so we have been busy with that. I am so excited for her she will do so good she comes natural at that stuff, I guess you could say she gets that from her momma. The kids are so ready for spring to be here, i can't keep them in the house anymore. We got a new goat and Howdy loves to go out and rope it and tourcher it poor thing. It just seems like life is so busy but i love it. I will post some pics later of what we have been up too!

Santa dumped his Sleigh at our house!
We had a wonderful Christmas, my mom and dad stayed home and had it with us, which was fun. It has been so crazy these last few months! We went to Las Vegas again this year for the World series roping the first of Dec had fun, Billy did pretty good, lets just say if he didn't leg his first steer he would of took 2nd place and won alot of money, but thats what you get with roping right! They paid 30 places and he ended up in 20th which not bad for over 250 teams. We have just been busy with the kids! Excited to see what the new year will bring us!

Today was the first day of school, I can't believe my little girl is in 1st grade boy does time fly. She was excited to start school i was a little teary eyed when i left there but she seemed to be just fine. Howdy goes to preschool one more year he don't start until Sept. In July Trevor Brazil and Tuff Cooper and a few other guys came to Roosevelt and stayed down at the Barn for a few days so we went down there and Howdy roped with him and he thought that was pretty cool, he is a super nice guy.

Top it off on the way home I was driving and hit a stupid deer, it was a big 4 point in velvet smashed right into the side of the truck on the drivers side the fender, both doors ripped the mirror off, shattered the window and lets just say it scared the living crap out of me, i am glad that it wasn't worse it just happened so fast!

Jackson Hole!!

So we went to Jackson hole for the 4th there was a roping up there and we took our trailer and camped right there at the fairgrounds with all our good friends. On our way up we stoped in Randolf to get gas and I left my wallet there in the bathroom, and did not realize it until we were almost to Jackson hole. It had all our money in it! Luckily we have some friends that are from there and called him and he just happened to be there and he ran down and they had it. So we found someone who was coming to the roping and going threw there they stopped and got it and brought it to us thank goodness. We had a good time while we were there we got new bikes and rode them all over the place up town lets just say it was a blast. Here are a few pics!

It has been a while, things have been so crazy around here! Billy has been gone alot to different roping's Oklahoma, Reno, and then we went with him to Jackson Hole over the 4th. We had a family reunion on the 18th of June Billy was in Reno so me and the kids went and we camped and had fun! Here are a few pics!

We went to Loa for Memorial Weekend, we stopped in price and decorated grandma & grandpa Jensen's grave then on down to Loa and did grandma & grandpa Brown and Dallas's, the kids had fun playing with there cousins we miss these guys so much. But it just makes you feel good when you go visit them, even though they are not there but you can feel there spirit there with you.

Easter weekend we went camping with our good friends just up to the farm about 10 miles from our house, which it was just like we were in the mountains. We had a blast the kids rode 4-wheelers and we did a easter egg hunt. Then Sunday we went to my mom and dads house and had breakfast and then we went to Vernal to my in-laws and had a BBQ. We came home and went back up to camp and hung out roasted marshmellows and starburst, then everyone decided they were gonna go home and not stay the night there! Glad camp was just at the farm about 10 miles away. We had fun and the kids did too.

Life has been so crazy this last little while we have been so busy trying to get the house done, we had Baylee b-day party and moving. We had Baylee's b-day party at the Bowling alley this year. We had family and friends come to Baylee's b-day party. Her cousin's Cheyanne and Emily came from Loa. It was fun, she got lots of stuff for her new room. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen gave her this horse bed set, her grandma and grandpa Jackson gave her a night stand. We gave her a dresser and lamp. I can't believe that she is 6 years old. Where has time gone.

We are finally in our house. What a long past 3 weeks, painting and moving, now i hope we can relax. The other night we have been moving all day and we were all so tired, the kids were fighting and Billy told them to quit he is going to pull his hair out and Howdy says but Dad you don't have any hair , we laughed so hard it was cute the way he said it and it caught Billy off guard. We are so excited that we are finally moving into a home! It is just around the corner from my mom and dad's house it has 2 acre's and 4 bedroom 3 bath, it needs to be painted, but hopefully we can have it done in a month and move in, the kids are all excited that they get there own bedroom and bath. We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Kids got spoiled as always. Bay got a American girl doll and horses and a bunch of clothes and shoes. Howdy got a big barn tractors horses, clothes shoes. They couldn't wait till Christmas morning they didn't go to bed until 12 and then they were up at 5:30. My wonderful hubby gave me a new camera and I am still trying to figure out how to run it I might have to take a class to learn how to run it!!! We went to Loa the day after Christmas and had our annual brown party and it was fun I wish we were down there a little longer it was a fast trip, but it was fun..

I have been so bad lately but with the holiday season and everything elese it is crazy. We had a great time in Vegas went to the rodeo 3 nights had great seats above the bucking chutes, never made it to bed before 2 everynight, but we had a great time. I have been bad about blogging lately but seems like we have been so busy. I just want to say I am so Thankful for such a wonderful husband, my kids that light up my life and there is never a dull moment with them around, my parents they are the greatest My Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces, brother, sister in-law and many friends that are just like family to us, and my grandparents that taught me alot and gave me many great memories that I will cherish forever and will miss them very much. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, we are going down south to spend the holiday with the family, i am so excited to see everyone again. Only 12 more days and we will be headed to vegas for a week, Billy ropes on Wednesday morning and then the short go is Sat morn. Can't wait we will have a blast but I am really going to miss the kiddos alot, but they are in good hands with grandma and grandpa if they don't pull there hair out before we get home......HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Oklahoma USTRC Ropin!

Right before the Open ropin on Sunday they had the American flag that fire was coming out the end of it. The kids thought that was pretty cool. Then they introduced the ropers that were in the Open which are all the big named ropers. It was pretty cool. Then we went and ate at this really good steak house after. Rhen, Billy, me, Baylee, Howdy, Challis, Patsy and Heavy, it was really good. What a great time can't wait to go back..

We took a little trip to Oklahoma city last week, we left on Friday and just got home last night. We drove Rhen's horse down it was the National Finals for the USTRC ropin. We had fun the kids were troopers. Billy ended up roping on Monday with Megan Sherwood and they did good they missed the cut off for the short go by a couple secs, there was 480 teams and they took back 30 for the short go. But we had fun we ate good food the kids had a great time, lots of people. I did take some pictures I will post them later. We went through Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico we came home a different way then what we went down we seen alot of country. Pics still to come.

We took the kids to the corn maze on Sat. We got lost, we ended up where we started! Then they take you for a ride to the pumpkin patch and you get to pick a pumpkin. Then they have a playground, a cow train ride. It was a fun day hanging out with the family.

My father in-law had a big bull permit on Diamond mountain, so we went up for the weekend and camped. He got it on Sunday after a big hike in, then they had to quarter it and pack it up the mountain then down the other side of the mountain so it was a long haul it is a 5 x 7. The weather was so nice the kids had a blast.

We had our Annual girls trip last weekend. We went to Midway and stayed at the Zermat Resort in a house right on the golf course. We have spa day on Friday then Sat we went to park city shopping and ate at Baha Cantina we have a blast it is so nice to get away for a few days with just the girls. We just hung out and we laughed and had a good time. This is something we do every year.

Today was Howdy's first day of preschool!! He stayed all by himself finally, I was dreading it cause last year I went with him everytime. I had to stay for 30 min then he was fine that I leave, and his teacher said he done fine. He had to wear his new shirt that his dad brought back from Ruidoso the horse races in New Mexico, Baylee got a pink one she wanted to wear it today but it was picture day.

Well we did it! We made it through the first week of kindergarten even I did. I have to stay for a minute but then she is fine the rest of the day she said she loves school and is meeting alot of friends. She is shy at first but then she warms up after a few minutes. Today I didn't have to stay she was just fine. I think it is a big adjustment going to a big school like that. Howdy starts preschool tommorrow so we will see how he does if he will stay...

Well my baby girl started kindergarten this morning. She was so excited to go, she done really good it was mom that was having a hard time. I held back until I got out the door, I am a boob but my kids are growing up way to fast. Then we got Howdy a new pair of golf clubs we told him he had to go to preschool all by himself or we would take them away. He starts in a week. He loves to golf. Notice he's got his rope in one hand and a club in the other. Tiger Woods watch out!!!!

The kids rode there horse tonight! I guess I need to relax a little and let them be kids. I am a nervous wreck when they are on horses all by them self. Baylee tells me mom relax a little, this is a good horse for as young as it is. The kids have no fear of them. They are around horses all the time. I don't ride very often, cause I get to nervous. Tonight I got on there horse and as soon as I got on it started to run with me, but the minute the kids get on her she is fine, she loves the kids. Baylee had to stand on the cooler to get up on her, the kids know how to handle horses better than I do. Baylee runs barrels on the pony and I don't get nervous when she rides him cause he is just a little pony. What can I say the kids love horses and that is there hobby and life..

We took the kids to Ouary out to the oil patch Sat to see the wild horses. They loved it, there are so many wild horses out there you would not believe it. They roam all over the place . Everywhere you look there is al least a couple horses, and then you see some big heards to. We also seen a coyote, hoggrounds( the kids call them) antelope, so it was a fun day.These horses were right of the main highway just come up from the river from getting a drink.
This horse is a old stallion check out the scars all over from fighting.

It was a good day we had alot of fun and the kids loved to see the horses.

The horses would run right in front of you. I can't believe that there has not been any that have been hit, but Billy said that everyone who works out there no that they are out there.They have to go down to the river and get a drink of water.

This picture below is Spirit. Billy said he see's this horse almost everyday he is out there, and he always has a big heard with him.

You can not believe these horses actually come right in the well site area, they have to put fences around so the horses don't bother them.
You could not believe all the stallions that are out there, and they mark there territory to.

Wayne County Fair

Last weekend we went down home to the far. We were able to spend 4 days down there. It was fun to get to see everyone and the kids had fun playing with there cousins. Thursday night was the kids rodeo, both the kids did the dummy ropin, animal chase and the stick horse race. Baylee won the dummy ropin in her age division there were alot of kids in there age division, she out done her brother this time. Then Friday was my llittle niece Emily b-day party she turned 3, then it was the rodeo that night it was fun. Saturday was the parade and we had a family reunion that afternoon then it was the demo-derby that night. Howdy and Emily stayed home with grandma and grandpa, which I wish i would have taken him because he would have enjoyed it Baylee loved it and Uncle Mo did a trick in the backhoe and she thought that was pretty neat that is all she talks about. So it was a fun weekend, it was hard to go back to the house and grandma not there, things are not the same there, they never will be with both of them gone. Mom and Dad are leaving today to go on there trip to Alaska, they are excited and they need a vacation.

Howdy won another buckle at the US Roping in Vernal this weekend. He won one last year. They have age groups so Baylee & Howdy were in the 5 and under age group. There were 16 kids in that age group and he won it & one of the youngest. We are so proud of him. Left handed to, I don't know what we are going to do about that, hopefully we can get him to switch to right. (I hope).

Last night our good friend took Baylee to a jackpot with her. They have this Barrell club that they meet every week and run barrells. They got Daxtyn a new pony and let Baylee run barrells on him. She can ride the pony by herself, but we tried to get her to lead by herself, but she wanted Kenny to lead her through this time so hopefully next week she can do it herself. She was so excited that she got to go with Jazlyn to run Barrells. Thanks Jazlyn for taking Baylee.

O boy we got the kids both a i-pod shuffle the other day, mistake? They both run around the house with the phones on and blurt out singing. Baylee, you can understand most the time but, Howdy half the time you can't understand what he is singing, we have to tell them to go outside. It is pretty bad when your 5 year old knows more about i-pods then her own mother..Then last night we were sitting on the porch and Baylee said mom do you want to go running? I said okay lets go so we put our i-pods on and went running. She sees all these people who run and walk and they have i-pods on.. Kids they pay attention to every little thing...

Winning Weekend!

This weekend was a good weekend for Billy he went to the World series roping in Farmington Utah. He won the # 13 ropin. He has already qualified for the finals that they have in December down in Vegas during the rodeo, so we will be spending a few days down there which I can't wait. Then Friday night we went to the Altamont rodeo and he split 1st and 2nd. Heavy and Patsy had a BBQ Fri night so we went there before the rodeo. Sat we went to Vernal and spent the day, it was my mother in-laws b-day. This next week is UBIC our big fair so it is a busy week. Baylee has to perform 3 nights this week and then the parade is Sat, and it is the US ropin in Vernal to, so Billy will rope on Friday and then we will go back over Sat so the kids can be in the Dummy Ropin.

Grandma We Miss You!

It will be 1 month tommorrow the 18 that grandma was reunited with grandpa! It has been a struggle losing both grandparents in a 3 month period. But we know that they are so happy being together again, and we will get to see them some day. We miss you both very much. We love you!!

Hope everyone had a nice 4th of july weekend. We went to Tabiona on Fri afternoon and to the rodeo that night. Billy and Chad won the team roping that night, then they also ran steers for the Sat night rodeo and took 2nd. Then Sat they had a big ropin and it started at 9:00 and went until 5:00 there were 400 teams. Billy did good in that too. We stayed at the big cabin Friday night then after the ropin Sat then we headed to Neola for that rodeo. They didn't do to good there I think they were so tired from that day. We had fun and Billy did really good. I forgot my camera like a idiot. But we had fun and the kids had alot of fun playing with the kids. Now maybe I can unpack, cause I hope we will stay home for a couple weeks now.

What a crazy and hard couple of weeks. My grandma passed away on the 18 of June. Me and my mom went to stay with her on the 13 cause she was sick so we went down for a couple days and stayed and we came home on Monday and she passed away that Thurs. I am so glad I got to spend a couple days with her. So we went back down on Fri and just came home on Sat so we were down there for 9 days. My b-day was on the 23 the day of her viewing so it wasn't mutch of a b-day. The funeral was so nice, the grandaughters done the tribute, me and my other 4 cousins, which that was hard, but she looked so peaceful. It is so hard to let her go cause me and grandma had this special bond between us that I will miss so much, but I will cherish the many memories that I have of her. She is so happy now that she is reunited with grandpa. It has only been 3 1/2 months that we burried grandpa so it is so hard to lose two grandparents in a 3 month period. We will miss you grandma and grandpa. We love you.. Till we meet again.

Loa, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lorna Ruth Coleman Brown, age 78, after a short separation from our Dad, was reunited on June 18, 2009 in Gunnison, Utah, surrounded by her loving family.

Mom was born to loving parents, Charles Ellis and Ruth Allen Coleman on March 5, 1931 in Loa, Utah. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1949.

Lorna married her sweetheart, Arlen “Arlie” LaVor Brown, September 30, 1950 in Teasdale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple, June 30, 1983. Together they brought a daughter and 3 sons into this world. They shared their lives together for 59 years and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2000. Arlie died March 5, 2009.

Lorna served as Wayne County Treasurer for 8 years; was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Camp Mauna Loa and served as an Officer in the Wayne County Company, and served in other civic organizations.

Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings. She was an accomplished musician and played the organ at many of the funerals throughout Wayne County and the southern part of the State. She enjoyed playing the accordion. Her love for music was a highlight in her life which was enjoyed by her family and the community.

She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and crocheting.

Her family was her life and her legacy. She is survived by her children: Arla Mae and Duane Jensen of Roosevelt; Charles Albert and Jan O. Brown, Michael Arlen and Becky O. Brown, Ellis Roger and Kori G. Brown, all of Loa; 11 grandchildren who love and will miss her dearly and 13 beautiful great-grandchildren, who love and know her as Grandma Great.

She was reunited in death with a grandson, Dallas Brown; her parents; two sisters and four brothers: Claon Adams, Glena Vee Newby, John Kell Coleman, William Sheldon Coleman, Samuel Eldon Coleman and Ellis Gleave Coleman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Stake Center in Loa, Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.

Last night my grandma passed away. Three months ago we buried my grandpa and now we are burring my grandma. Grandma touched so many peoples lives and will be missed by everyone. She was that very special person to me that I loved so much and will truly miss her very much, the two kids will miss there grandma great who they loved so much. Now she is reunited with the love of her life, dancing away happy as can be. We love you grandma and will miss you and grandpa very much...Till we meet again.....

My cousin Mo and his wife Kate had there cute baby boy a couple weeks ago, we finally got to see him when we went home to wayne county over the weekend, and he is so cute lots of black hair. The kids just loved him. They named him Jake Arlen Brown after our grandpa which I thought was pretty cool, grandpa would love that...

Well Baylee has got this big word down, the other day we were talking about doing something with the horses and Baylee spoke up and said well it's not my responsiblility
The other day I went to the store got home and got out of the car and dropped a 2 liter pop out on the ground and left it there, continued in the house got side tracked and a little while later Baylee comes bringing it in and said mom you left this out in the road and it's not my responsibility to pick it up. Gotta love your kids, the things they come up with, every morning we get up, the first thing she says to me is mom I had a dream and then she tells me about it and everyone of them is about horses. I love my kids what would I do without them...

The kids play T-ball every Monday and Wednesday nights. Billy is the coach, and it is so funny to watch them play, they do so good. We only have 3 more games left, we started the first of May. There are about 14 kids on the team. It has been so fun and the kids love it.

The kids are just loving playing outside and enjoying the weather, I can't get them to come in at night. They love jumping on the tramp and Howdy he kills me he says he was working cleaning the horse's stalls out and he leaned up against the fence and said mom boy I am so tired I have been working so hard so I thought that was a cute pic. I am so excited for warm weather for Rodeo's, swimming and camping.

Planting Garden

We finally got the garden planted, the kids just couldn't wait to help grandpa plant the garden. We decided to plant pumpkins this year, and they were so excited they put the seeds in the ground and burried them, and then they helped plant the cucumbers and tomatoes these are Bay's favorite. So now they have chores that they have to water the garden and weed it so they think that is pretty cool.

This was our last competition for the season we were in Ogden and the girls did so good they got superrior rating on the show team which is the highest they can get and Baylee's class got superrior also. They did so good. I am so proud of Baylee for doing so good for out first year of competition.

Today is my two special boys b-day! My baby is 4 today I can not believe it, he has grown up to fast. It is not very often that you have a father and son that have b-day's on the same day. Wow! What a scary weekend we have had, and crazy one to. First of all grandma wrecked her new car on Thursday so we went down that evening and seen her at the hospital and she was okay she was just sore were the seatbelt was around her stomach and her back was a little sore. So Friday afternoon mom went to get her from the hospital and she was doing really good Friday night. Then Sat morning she just started to go down hill. We had a Mothers day dinner that night at my aunts house but mom and grandma didn't go. Sunday morning she still wasn't doing any better. Me and dad and the kids came home that night and mom was going to stay with her till she was better. That evening mom called and said we are taking grandma back to the hospital she is not doing good at all. Monday she was going down hill fast and they did some test and x-ray's and found a blood clot in her lungs and it didn't look good at all. This morning mom called and said grandma is doing 100% better a complete turnaround. The doc could not believe this but I think grandpa wanted her to stay. So we continue to pray that she will have a speedy recovery. We love you so much grandma great. We wish you a speedy recovery..

Howdy had his field trip today, so I went along with them (I have to stay at school with him too) Baylee went with us. We went to the fire station and then to the park and had lunch.
